Welcome to the new home of the New Jersey Chapter of Printing House Craftsmen. As President for our 87^th year, I am elated to see this website evolve into a valuable resource. A gateway to information about the chapter and the IAPHC - The Graphic Professionals Resource Network. Both members and visitors are encouraged to explore the site and should expect to find useful information as well as a means to connect with their colleagues. Connecting with our sponsors is important also. We truly appreciate their ongoing support which, includes active participation in our many educational and industry-related programs. Your patronage is the best way to thank them for their efforts. And speaking of programs, please visit often as we update our event calendar for educational and social events throughout the year. Overview

The New Jersey Chapter of Printing House Craftsmen, one of the eighty-two clubs of the International Association of Printing House Craftsmen (IAPHC) was chartered as the Newark Chapter in 1920. We are considered to be one of the premier clubs of the International, attested by six "Chapter of the Year" awards in eight years. We are an organization of volunteers, in which members share their knowledge and a part of their skills with each other. Your membership identifies you as belonging to the largest Graphic Arts Association with thousands of members across the United States and Canada. The objective of the Craftsmen Club is to provide an opportunity for those engaged in the Graphic Arts to meet at regular times and be presented educational programs to better acquaint us with existing methods of Graphic Arts production and to inform us about new developments. By practicing this, it gives us the opportunity to increase our understanding of our field and to share our knowledge.

This is your opportunity to become a member of the New Jersey Chapter. An organization composed of men and women, Management, Technical, Production, and Mechanical, from all of the allied professions in the Graphic Arts industry. The Craftsmen Association is a means of advancing the progress of the individual member and the Graphic Arts Industry in general. With your membership, you will receive monthly updates and have access to both our local and international web sites. In addition to our monthly meetings, you will have the opportunity to attend our Regional Conference and International Convention; both of these gatherings are educational as well as social.

We hope that this bit of information will help you in making a decision to join the New Jersey Chapter. You many download and fill out the application from our web site. One of the reasons that we have been successful for over 87 years, we practice our motto "Share Your Knowledge."

Membership shall be open to any person employed in the graphic arts field, regardless of sex, creed, or national origin. There shall be the following forms of membership: Active, Honorary, Life, and Associate.

Once you are a member of the New Jersey Chapter of Printing House Craftsmen you are automatically a member of the IAPHC – The Graphic Professionals Resource Network.

Types of Membership

Active: Active members shall include any individual actively engaged in any productive or creative capacity in any of the recognized branches of the Graphic Arts industry.

Honorary: Honorary Membership may be conferred upon any member after application has been submitted to and approved by the Board of Directors. The applicant must be retired and a member in good standing.

Life: Life membership may be conferred upon any member. After the member's official retirement from the industry, application to and approval from the Board of Directors, and membership in the club for 25 years, and/or had served as a committee chair or officer of the club during his/her membership in the club, the member can be conferred as a life member. Nominations for Life Membership shall be done before dues notices are mailed out.

Associate: membership shall be limited to persons employed in capacities other than those requirements in Active, Honorary, or Life membership. No Associate member can have voting rights or sit on the Board of Directors.
